Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies, Ahmed Reda Chami, has announced the upcoming establishment in Fez (Sidi Brahim area) of a plant producing cables and electrical cabinets for high-speed trains and tramways. Operations are scheduled to begin by December 2011. The 300 million euro joint venture between Nexans and Alstom, will employ 200 people in the initial phase, and 600 by 2018.
