Car: Nissan places great hopes in Morocco
10/08/2015 - Général

Morocco features a leading automotive market in North Africa and undeniably contributes to the development of the industry within Africa, said Christian Mardrus, Nissan's chairman for the Africa, Middle East and India region. During the inauguration of the new Nissan showroom in Casablanca, which also happens to be Auto Hall's newest headquarters, Mardrus indicated that besides its relatively low car ownership level, Morocco shows a clear growth potential. In December 2014, the brand had turned the Moroccan Society of Japanese Cars (SMVN) a subsidiary of the Auto Hall Group, into its exclusive distributor in Morocco. On this occasion, Nissan has outlined an ambitious plan to expand its network from 4 to 20 outlets and to introduce five new products by the end of FY 2016.
