Tanger Med Zones is organizing the meeting of the World Organization of Free Zones (''World FZO '') in Tangiers with representatives of Free Zones from 17 countries. On the sidelines of this meeting, Tanger Med Zones has launched an association bringing together African trade zones in the presence of representatives of Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Gabon, Mauritania, Senegal, Chad and Tunisia. Representatives of African countries present welcomed this initiative that will be chaired by representatives of Morocco. In parallel, two cooperation agreements were signed:
1. Cooperation agreement for the integration of African countries into the World Organization of Free Zones
2. An agreement with the Association of Zonas Francas de Las Americas, which includes nearly 400 FTZs in South America, to further strengthen ties with African zones and beyond, to develop business opportunities between both continents.
