Published this week by the World Economic Forum (WEF), the 2016 report ranked Morocco 59th in world index for energy policy performance (with a score of 0.62/1). It demonstrated an overall improvement for Morocco compared to 2009 where it was ranked 13 places lower, explains Yabiladi in his analysis of the index. This ranking monitors indicators that evaluate the performance of the energy system in 126 countries across the world. The three main indices are, economic growth and development, environmental sustainability, and access to energy and security. It is important to point out that the Morocco’s energy policy was ranked the best in the Arab world.
