AGC Automotive Europe arrives in Kenitra

In a communiqué released on August 11th, the car manufacturer AGC Automotive Europe announced a plan to build an industrial unit in Morocco with a view to supply the European and African markets.

AGC Automotive Europe, the European arm of Japanese group Asahi Glass, explained that it had signed an agreement with Induver Holding, a Moroccan glass manufacturer based in Casablanca, for the construction of a factory near Kenitra.

The factory should be running by 2019 and is expected to create 600 jobs. It will produce toughened glass for rear and side windows as well as laminated glass for windscreens.
