This week the American Group Eaton, specialised in the management of electric and hydraulic systems, cut the ribbon a large factory in Casablanca. This event was attended by Moulay Hafid Elalamy, the Minister for Industry, Trade, Investment and New Technologies and the current president of GIMAS (the Moroccan Group of Aeronautic and Space Industries), Hamid Benbrahim El Andaloussi. The factory covers 13,500 m² and is located in the Midparc Free Zone in Casablanca. The project involved the investment of 116 million MAD and is expected to create 550 jobs. The main role of this factory will be to assemble battery packs to be used in inverters and for the storage of intermittent energy like solar power.
