The inauguration of the AGC Automotive Induver Morocco car glass factory took place in Kenitra on March 15. The event was attended by Moulay Hafid Elalamy, Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital economy along with managers from the factory.
This huge factory, expected to be operational by 2019, is the result of a significant agreement between AGC Automotive Europe and Induver, a Moroccan glass manufacturer. In a joint press release the two companies announced that the goal is to create a joint venture for the production of car glass.
AGC Automotive Induver Morocco will employ around 600 people and produce toughened glass for rear-view and wing mirrors as well as laminated glass for windscreens. The same source explained how the factory is expected to produce around 1,100,00 carsets per year.
